A great little bar open late with friendly staff. Try the black fried chicken, it's delicious.

Lovely wee place where the food is really tasty and the chef&waitress are very friendly. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

We found this basement restaurant down the hill from our Ryokan, Tenseien. This was open late, offered drinks and a unique menu. I had squid ink noodles, my husband had curry with cheese melted on top, both satsfying and not found elsewhere, a refreshing change from customary Japanese, and a selection of local beers.
